Okay okay okay, I don’t care who did what first. That is an incredibly hipster point of view. Every artist that has ever existed is the sum of what came before. I didn’t say Gaga was forging any new moulds or breaking any records, I simply believe in… when did she first appear? 2008? I don’t know, but yeah, when she first came into the public eye, there wasn’t anyone else who currently, at the very least, looked like her. And that is commendable.
So, like a I do most days when I’m trying to waste time, I’m educating myself on “popular” music.
I’m probably late to the party with this opinion, but holy fuck, Lady Gaga songs are so dull. She puts all this effort into the imagine that clearly forgets to work on the goddam music. I don’t know why anyone would want to just listen to Gaga song with out the visuals, because in my opinion, there’s nothing else there.
Lady Gaga, due to her own unique style and image, could have been an artist I respected.
It’s just unfortunate that her music is shit.
